This activity uses a short, repetitive passage to build first graders' reading fluency and comprehension. Students read a simple story about Asha and her dog Spot, then answer three auto-graded drag-and-drop comprehension questions. The Reading Fluency recording gives teachers an automatic fluency score; teachers should listen to the recordings to confirm accuracy and note areas for practice such as pacing, word pronunciation, and expression.
